Shakespeare.

Sonnet 116:
Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove.
O no, it is an ever-fixèd mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wand'ring bark,
Whose worth’s unknown, although his height be taken.
Love’s not time’s fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle’s compass come:
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

in case any of you need a translation:

I hope I may never acknowledge any reason why minds that truly love each other shouldn’t be joined together. Love isn’t really love if it changes when it sees the beloved change or if it disappears when the beloved leaves. Oh no, love is a constant and unchanging light that shines on storms without being shaken; it is the star that guides every wandering boat. And like a star, its value is beyond measure, though its height can be measured. Love is not under time’s power, though time has the power to destroy rosy lips and cheeks. Love does not alter with the passage of brief hours and weeks, but lasts until Doomsday. If I’m wrong about this and can be proven wrong, I never wrote, and no man ever loved.

LIFE IS GOOD. ♥

ONE MORE THING...

Personality is key. And that's one of the many things I just love about Ray. But can I just say, after uploaded a new picture of us on the side i noticed AGAIN that RAY is quite the HANDSOME man.

Us at my old apartment after the bridal shower. Cute earrings eh?

Lunch with Hillary and lots of other people at our semi college family reunion in Utah.

Ray at the bridal shower after the Priesthood Session of Conference.

Dying my hair with Ellen's help :)

Helping paint my nails. He gets into it.

One of my favorites, although he hates it, right before a rodeo. Can't wait for forever to begin.

I am a fabulous blogger.

FALSE.

I realize I can not blog to save my life. I take after my mom. Hopefully that will change once we are married, the blogging part not the mom part. You may be surprised that I actually would love to be just like my mother. She is great. :) Ray sometimes tells me that I do things like my mom. Thanks for the compliment, Ray.

Well, lately, all I have been able to do is sit and wait for the wedding. And let me tell you, the last month is the hardest.

But, the good news is this: I went through the Mesa Temple...

And it was amazing. So even though i had no idea what was going on it was still an awesome experience to be able to have so young. I feel blessed that i am marrying a boy (he still acts like one often) that is worthy to go to the temple. I don't really have anything else to say other than that being in the temple with him is perfect, never felt so close to him in my life.

Well, I am in Texas and I am just getting everything together with our invitations, and everything else for the wedding. Today I am going to buy the ties and bowties for the little ones. They are the cutest things ever!
Another good thing that has happened and been such a blessing for us, is that we found an apartment right across the street from the school were going to! I can't hardly wait. It is tiny and everything in there is so small I CAN REACH THE TOPS OF THE CABINETS! But, over all we feel like its the right place for us. It even has a patio. SO CUTE. They are called the Waterstone Apartments.

well I think thats about all for now. I will try to update more.

Ross' Broken Truck

Alrighty, its about time i get back on this thing, months later that is. But this is a good story and i needed lots of time to write it and now i have found the time and so here we go.

So after a long night of wedding reception stuff Ray asks me on a date. So of course i say yes, but i got a bit excited and almost nervous because he never just asks me on a date.

The next day we are hanging out with his family and were just having fun and he would keep saying stuff like, ohh were going on an awesome date tonight, are you excited for our date tonight? Just different things to build up the emotions and such. Well, it worked because i was just dying wondering what was going to happen. So were getting ready to leave and he says were going to a very nice restaurant so i have to get dressed nice. So i change and we leave.

Well first he is driving me around and showing me the graveyard and some hill that is in their town and all this good stuff...random i know. Then we finally show up at the restaurant and it is a dinky little mexican place. not that i dont love mexican food, it was just funny that he was telling me it was all nice. at this point i just thougth he was going to propose at dinner, he was acting all strange and he kept talking about dinner and the date so i was suspicious.

So we are about to order our food when Ross calls. Ray gets off the phone and he says Ross is stuck on the mountain and his truck broke down and we have to go get him. And he was so mad. I was actually scared he was so mad. Then he tries to call some of his friends to see if they can come and get Ross so we dont ruin our date... no one could come. So we get going and head out to the mountain. we get there and Ross is gone. Ray tells me to start the truck and see if i can do anything while he gets the tools. So i open the door and there's a wanted poster sitting there, so I'm kinda confused. I put it to the side like its nothing and then i think about it some more look at it some more, and it says "WANTED. Wife, Lover, Mother" and then i think, weird that Ross would have this. Then i look at Ray and he's down on one knee with the ring in hand. Then the water works start and he says, "Read the paper first! Read the paper first!" so i finish reading it and it basically had all these qualifications to be his wife. I looked at him again and he says "So, will you marry me then?"

And i said yes. And we are living happily ever after. :) Except the part about how I'm in Dallas right now without him. :(

PICTURES will come LATER.

Service Always Has Its Blessings.

Well, it is about time I use this thing, seeing as I have had it since April and have yet to. But, now I actually have a reason because...I am engaged! And we all know full well that when someone gets engaged these days, the blogging starts. And now I'm starting to understand why.

So this is the part that I have to go into detail about how we met and all that good stuff. So hold on to your hats because, it's a long one.

Well, it was April 19th and it was moving day. And like any other young college age person, I had put off packing until 3 or so hours until I had to move. That was smart. Anyhow, the last week had been pretty rough. One day I had food poisoning from Little Caesar’s, the next day I spent recovering, and then the day after that I got hives from eating 20 popsicles in one night. (I do not recommend that)...which brings us to the 19th and I had to move. So, I am rushing around trying to get everything together when I get a call from my new roommate’s home teacher and he says that he, along with some friends, is going to help me move. Then I really start rushing. After about an hour later they get there and I’m a mess. I mean bad, I’m frustrated, I haven’t showered yet, it’s like 4 in the afternoon, I still have boxes to pack and they were early. So I go to let them in and there are three guys. Chubbs, which was Ellen’s home teacher, Justin Crick, which was one of this friends and another friend, Ray, the kid with the truck.

So they help me move boxes and everything and I feel so bad because I am all sorts of messed up and they can tell. So we get in the truck and drive to the new apartments and then the lady tells us that we weren’t suppose to move in yet because they didn't know we were coming today. so we work things out, she was nice and gave me a key and everything and then we start moving stuff in. the whole time we didn’t talk other than say sorry or something if we were in each other’s way. Well we finally got done and I told them to come over anytime they wanted to use the gym or something and I thanked them and said sorry for the trouble.

Later that night Ray texted me to say that we left some stuff in his truck and we had a little bit of a conversations. Barely. Then the next day I ask if they can help us again because we had waaaay more stuff to move.

For some reason I was just anxious to see this kid after our simple conversation and I have no idea why. He just was not my type. (At the time obviously). So they come over and he helps us move again and it was better this time, I tried joking with them and all that good stuff...still trying to break the ice from the day before. I think it might have gone well. Ha ha.

Next thing I know he asks if I want to go country dancing. I was busy that night so I wasn’t really able to. Then the next 2 weeks he kept asking me to different things but I was always busy. But finally I was not and so I promised him we would hang out soon.

So the day rolls around and we are supposed to go country dancing, again. But, being the brat that I can be, I told him I didn’t want to do that. I had no idea he had meant it to be a date. I guess I don't pick up on hints. So he thought of something else to do and he picked me up and we went out. We went and ate Panda Express at the mall and people watched and then we went bowling with one of his mission buddies and his friends and Ray's cousin Jesse and her boyfriend. After that we went to his mission friend's house to watch a movie and then he took me home. As simple as that may be I was hooked as soon as we got in the truck to go to dinner.

So then we have basically been dating since then. Just this last weekend we were in Arizona, and he proposed to me on August 14. So, I suppose this next post will be on how he proposed and everything. :)
